Secrets to Successful Weight Loss

What's the secret to losing weight and keeping it off? I know the answer to the first question: You lose weight by eating lettuce and lemon wedges while doing two 2-hour workouts every day, of course. Wait, I think that may be what movie stars do to get in red-carpet shape. For the rest of us, let's just say we have to burn more calories than we take in.

It's the second question that's so hard: How can we keep the weight off? It would be nice if we could set up some kind of fortress around our bodies after we lose weight, perhaps fortify it with big, strong warriors with swords and catapults and boiling oil.

It's possible I've watched too much "Game of Thrones."

The only way to defend our bodies against regaining weight is by implementing the kinds of behaviors that lead to success. Those behaviors include things like monitoring yourself on a regular basis by taking your measurements or tracking your body fat, among other things.

I discuss all the details in my article, Secrets to Successful Weight Loss and, of course, I want to know about you. What are the most important behaviors you've incorporated to keep the weight off? Leave a comment and tell us about your secrets to successful weight loss.
