Horse care essentials are critical pieces of information for either people who work with these beautiful creatures or those individuals who newly own them. Those who provide care for them need to make sure that they are taking the proper steps to ensure their horses' health. Things that need to be done include having a wooden stall of the right dimensions, offering the horses a lot of food, horse saddles for sale and fresh water, taking the animals to the vet, ensuring that the animals exercise regularly, and cleaning out the stalls constantly. These will all be looked at more.

The stall must be made out of wood with the proper dimensions. A wooden stall is preferred as horses can potentially hurt their legs or feet by kicking on concrete stalls. However, as some horses chew wood up, guards that prevent them from doing need to be put in place. Also, stalls should have paddocks attached to them so that the animals could run around and play. Twelve by twelve stalls are sufficient in most cases.

Much food and fresh water has to be made available to the horses on a daily basis. Devices that automatically make water available can be utilized, but those caring for the animals have to be careful when using them. They do not allow one to monitor how much water the animals are taking in. Grains and hay are the optimal foods for creature's well being and health.

It is important that horses see vets a couple of times a year. The animals need to be given medications to prevent worms, and they also have to receive vaccines. Vaccinations are especially important when the horses are in boarding facilities, as these areas are breeding grounds for bacteria and disease.

The horses need chances to exercise outside their stalls. They also need social interaction with other creatures like themselves, as they thrive more when they are around other animals.

It is critical that stalls are kept clean for the animals who live in them. This includes ensuring that urine and fecal waste is removed each day. Furthermore, flies are pests who frequently visit the horses' living quarters, and their presence has to be kept under control.

Lots of steps have to be taken to ensure proper horse care. These include providing horses with the right diet and lots of water, taking them to the vet, making sure that they are exercising enough, and ensuring the cleanliness of stalls.
